I chose this picture for Adlerian counseling because in the chapter it talked about birth order, family atmosphere and early recollections to help in exploring the client's lifestyle. My brother (far right) and I exhibit the typical birth order personality traits, I am the oldest. However, my cousins are the complete opposite, my youngest cousin and I are most alike. We grew up very close, but because of different family atmospheres we have all had completely different experiences. It is important to explore different aspects of your client's life because they are an individual like no one else with experiences and beliefs that have shaped their personality and behaviors.
